My research interests include describe and understand the life cycles of monogenean and digeneas parasites of freshwater fishes. I study the taxonomy of digeneas and acanthocephalans using traditional microscope to observe morphological traits. To diagnostic better the biodiversity of helminths in Mexico and Middle America. I have been sequencing molecular markers that allow me infer the phylogenetic relationship among the species and understanding much better the evolution of the helminths.
